About me

I have interests in a number of different fields, including web design and development, photography and design thinking. Although I'm often busy freelancing in those fields as they're the most popular in South Africa, I spend my days working at the country's biggest game studio as a game artist, and sometimes get roped into programming a bit too.

When I'm not working, I'm painting, eating sushi, reading, making my own games, and playing Starcraft 2 or any of the Bioware gems.

I see you!

Feel free to drop me a mail (though my replies can be up to a week late). I'm always happy to read comments and critique, share knowledge, and to get to know other artists.

Education

Skills

  • In 3D I'm proficient with 3ds Max, Softimage, Mudbox, ZBrush and mental ray. Photoshop is my preferred software for textures and digital painting.

  • Much of my BSC was spent working with Matlab and Mathematica, and my final paper was an analysis of Brownian motion (comparing the derivations of Einstein and Langevin) with a 3D simulation written in Python. Although I don't consider myself a programmer, I do have undergraduate knowledge of programming logic and mathematics.
